The goal is to grow the festival into a powerful fundraising tool supporting local charities, especially programs that encourage the creative spirit in young people. The festival is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, currently doing business under the name International Contemporary Arts Association.

PROCEEDS & SCHOLARSHIPS

Carmel Art and Film supports several local non-profits, including an innovative program at California State University, Monterey Bay. Film and music majors work with at-risk, underserved or incarcerated teens in Monterey County over a six-week period, introducing them to digital filmmaking. Beyond the obvious educational benefits, the program strives to offer these teens a productive tool for self-expression, and in an area devastated by gang crime, inspire these kids to choose a different path.

LUCIE FOUNDATION
A description of our organization – The Lucie Foundation’s mission is to honor master photographers, discover and cultivate emerging talent and promote the appreciation of photography. Our signature programs and events include the annual gala affair, The Lucie Awards at Lincoln Center, and the Month of Photography Los Angeles (MOPLA).

The Lucie Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 charitable foundation who distributes two grants annually, in addition to advancing an online mentoring program that connect emerging photographers with veteran talent. For more information on programming, please visit www.luciefoundation.org

WESTON SCHOLARSHIP FUND
It is the goal of the Weston Scholarship Fund to keep the traditional process of the black and white fine art photography alive in the tradition of Edward Weston and Ansel Adams. Support this philosophy in our local schools – celebrating the roots of our photographic history. We offer students, artists, educators and the community the opportunity to experience the richness of photography through scholarships, mentorships, exhibitions, workshops, publications, lectures, video and artists in residence.
