OPENING NIGHT
Thursday, October 7
The 2010 Festival kicks off with an opening night reception for 600 at the Sunset Community and Cultural Center, highlighted by the opening of our photography exhibition, and a film premiere. The Sunset Community and Cultural Center, with its flagstone patios, large courtyards and gorgeous lobby with soaring ceilings, is the perfect setting for an indoor/outdoor celebration. Enjoy fine wine and food provided Bernardus Lodge under the direction of award winning chef Cal Stamenov. Check out the fine art photography exhibit, mingle with artists, photographers and filmmakers, and top off the evening with an exhilarating cinematic experience.
DIRECTOR’S DINNER
Friday, October 8th

The art of fine wine and food, coupled with animated conversation with artists and filmmakers, this event is designed to bring in collectors and connoisseurs from San Francisco to Los Angeles. John Cooper, Director of the Sundance Film Festival, will be attending, as will showcased filmmakers. Nationally recognized artists previously featured in ARTWORKS Magazine will be extended invitations, as well. The gala promises to put an explosive amount of creativity in one room, making for provocative conversation and remarkable access to some of the best in the art business.
THE ART OF WINE
Saturday, October 9th
Like peanut butter and chocolate, fine wine and fine art just seem to go together. Pairing wineries with galleries, THE ART OF WINE is a way to highlight artists in both artistic arenas. Participating galleries will “open” exhibitions that night with artists and winemakers on hand to “meet and greet.” Festival visitors can stroll through town, stopping along the way to see great art, taste great wine and chat with gallery owners, artists and winemakers on their way to the featured film of the evening at the Sunset Cultural Arts Center, an easy three-block walk from Ocean Avenue.
