Conversations with some of the finest in the fields of art, film, photography, music and books. These featured speakers will discuss techniques, trends and technology in unique lecture presentations or Q&A interview sessions. Last year CAFF brought you brunch with Alan Silvestri. The award-winning composer talked about his work in Hollywood and his relationship with director Robert Zemeckis. He also brought clips from “Forrest Gump” with and without score to show the role music plays in the movie industry. The festival also featured an evening with Lee Daniels and Paula Patton, director and actress from ”Precious.”
They gave incredible insights into the making of the gripping, Oscar-worthy picture and took questions from the audience. Director R.J. Cutler also traveled to Carmel to share an intimate evening with the audience after a screening of his Vogue documentary, ”September Issue.”
We’ll announced 2010 lecture guests in the coming months. Stay tuned.
